$4.7 million payment to Golfwest
29 Aug 2014 - The Barnett Government has being forced to pay Golfwest $4.7 million as a result of the decision to locate the new Perth stadium at Burswood. .
The payment of $4.7 million to Golfwest came despite the Premier claiming in the decision to choose the Burswood peninsula, that the government-owned land was unconstrained.

However, the Government had to pay Golfwest $4.7m as the private sector operator of the Burswood Park golf course had five years remaining on its lease.This figure was released by Sports Minister Terry Waldron after 18 months of refusal, citing commercial confidence.
