$480,000 worth of laptops and phones lost or stolen
30 Aug 2014 - A total of $480,000 worth of mobile phones and laptops have been lost or stolen from the WA Government over the 2013-14 financial year. .
The loss of $480,000 of IT equipment represents an increase of around $40,000 over the year before, when Premier Colin Barnett promised to crack down on the losses.
The biggest losses were from the Department of Education ($242,900), WA Police ($61,212) and WA Health ($34,581).
