28 Aug 2014 - The compensation bill to owners of a Perth Chinese restaurant located in Florence Hummerston House is at least $7.25m following the Barnett Government’s decision to go ahead with Elizabeth Quay..

The payment of $7.25 million has not settled the matter with the proprietors of the restaurant still pursuing action in the Supreme Court.

The owners of the Florence Hummerston Kiosk were granted a 10 year lease on the premises, along with three ten year options in 2004 by the City of Perth.

It was later revealed that the cost to reconstruct it would be $3.48 million.
